Matt Chattin has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 5th, 2014. The senior guard out of Groveland, Fla. led the Gyrenes against conference-foe Webber International on Saturday. He finished with 20 points on 7-13 from the field and 2-5 from beyond the arc and also chipped in with a team-leading four assists.

The Gyrenes are back in action on Tuesday when they travel to Hialeah, Fla. to take on Florida National University. Tip-off is set for 7p.m.
