John Russo has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 12th, 2014. The junior from Yorba Linda, Calif. led the Gyrenes in their three games played on the week. The 6-3 guard averaged 16 points, 4.3 rebounds, and three assists for the Green and Blue.

The Gyrenes return to the court on Thursday in Thomasville, Ga. when they take on Thomas University at 7:30p.m.
