Ave Maria

For the fourth time this season Matt Chattin has been chosen as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week, this time for the week ending January 19th, 2014. The senior guard led the Gyrenes to a 1-1 week by averaging 22 points and five rebounds over two games. The Groveland, Fla. native netted 25 points and five rebounds in AMU's 76-70 loss to Thomas University and followed that performance with a 19 point, five rebound effort in the Gyrenes 59-54 upset of (RV) Southeastern (Fla.).

The Gyrenes return to the court on Tuesday when they host Florida Memorial at the Tom Golisano Field house. Tip-off is set for 7p.m.
