Ave Maria

Taylor Walker has been chosen as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 26th, 2014. The senior right-hander out of Cape Coral, Fla. picked up his first win of the season in dominant fashion for the Gyrenes on Saturday. He pitched all seven innings; allowing no runs on one hit and struck out four as the Green and Blue defeated Calumet College of St. Joseph 1-0.

The Ave Maria baseball team returns to the field on Friday when they host Johnson University (Fla.), formerly Florida Christian College, at Bowie's Ballpark. The first pitch is slated for 2:30p.m.
