Ave Maria

Cheyenne Benson has been selected as Ave Maria's Co-Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 9th, 2014. The native of Lakeland, Fla. led the Lady Gyrenes to four wins this past weekend. The junior utility player finished with 1.000 batting average, going a perfect 5-5 with two triples, a double, four RBI, and four runs scored. She also recorded a 2.000 slugging percentage over the week.

The Green and Blue are back in action on Wednesday when they host Lynn University at the AMU Softball Field. Games are slated for 2 and 4p.m.
