Madison McDonald has been selected as Ave Maria's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending Feburary 16th, 2014. The junior guard out of St. Augustine, Fla. led the Green and Blue to a 2-1 week by averaging 12 points, 3.7 rebounds, and two assists per game. Her week was highlighted by a career-high 16 points off the bench in AMU's double overtime loss to Southeastern. McDonald also finished the week shooting 100% (6-6) from the free throw line and 54.5% (6-11) from beyond the arc.

The Lady Gyrenes return to the court for the last time in the regular season on Saturday when they host St. Thomas. Tip off is slated for 5p.m.
