Beth Vaccarezza has been selected as Ave Maria's Co-Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 7th, 2014. The 5-10 right-hander led the Lady Gyrenes to a pair of Sun Conference wins this past weekend. She went 2-0 on the mound and allowed just one earned run over 9.1 innings of work while improving her season record to 6-4 and lowering her ERA to 1.08.

The Lady Gyrenes return to action on Saturday when they travel to Edward Waters for their final non-conference contests of the season. The doubleheader with the Tigers is slated to begin at 1p.m.
