Hannah Wurster has been selected as Ave Maria's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 7th, 2014. The Conestoga, Pa. native, recorded 10 kills in the Lady Gyrenes 3-1 loss at Florida College last week.

AMU kicks off conference play this week with a pair of home matches. The Blue and Green host Northwood on Wednesday at 7 p.m. before hosting Webber International on Saturday at 2 p.m.
