Francesca Singleton has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 14th, 2014. Singleton recorded her first shutout of the season in the Lady Gyrenes 1-0 victory over the Johnson and Wales Wildcats. The sophomore goalkeeper turned away four shots to secure the one goal victory.

The Lady Gyrenes are back in action this weekend, when they welcome Johnson University (Fla.) to Ave Maria for a non-conference matchup.
