Emily Huber has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending November 4, 2012. Huber, a senior guard out of Indianapolis, Ind. , tallied 42 points in the Lady Gyrenes’ two wins this week. Huber led the way for Ave Maria, first, versus Montreat College, scoring a career-high 32 points on 9-20 shooting and 5-10 from beyond the arc. On Friday, in their 57-50 win over Brenau University, she finished with 10 points.
The Lady Gyrenes return to action, Friday, when they head to the University of Tampa Classic to face the host team at 3 p.m. followed by a matchup against St. Leo University on Saturday at 6 p.m.
