Madison McDonald has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 2nd, 2014. She was also named Sun Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

McDonald, a senior guard from St. Augustine, topped her previous career high of 17 points by scoring 22 and 23 points in consecutive games against Holy Cross (Ind.) and Bethel (Ind.).  McDonald also racked up six assists and went 9-of-12 from the free throw line in the Gyrenes win over Bethel. She totaled 15 assists in the three games in Indiana. 

Ave Maria opens its home slate on Saturday when it welcomes Clearwater Christian to Tom Golisano Field House for a 6 p.m. tip.
