Tyler Cutrer has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week ending November 4, 2012. Cutrer, a senior guard out of Frisco, Texas, tallied 36 points in the Gyrenes’ three wins this week. Cutrer led the way for Ave Maria, first, versus Edward Waters College, scoring 19 points on 7-8 shooting and a hot 5-6 from beyond the arc. On Saturday in their dominating 104-58 win over DeVry University, the senior had 13 points and seven steals. Cutrer wrapped up the weekend by scoring four points in the AMU win over Montreat College on Sunday.
The Gyrenes return to the court when they travel to Bethune-Cookman University on Tuesday, Nov. 6th for an exhibition contest.Tipoff is slated for 7p.m.
