Brandon Leon has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 2nd, 2014. He was also named Sun Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week, the third time he has earned that honor this season.
Leon had a perfect day kicking in the Gyrenes victory against Edward Waters. Leon finished 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, connecting from 22, 27, and 42 yards on a windy day. He was 3-for-3 on PAT attempts. Leon also had six kick offs for a total of 336 yards, an average of 56 yards.
Ave Maria returns to the field Saturday when they host Point (Ga.) in a 12 p.m. matchup.
