Jelani Bonner has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 14th, 2014. This is the third time this season that Jelani has received the weekly honor.

Jelani helped the Blue and Green to a 1-1 week by averaging 14 points, 11 rebounds, and two assists in the two games. Bonner recorded his second double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the Gyrenes 71-49 win over Coastal Georgia on Sunday.

The Gyrenes return to the court on Thursday when they host Trinity Baptist at 7 p.m. The Blue and Green conclude the week with a matchup against Georgia Gwinnett on Saturday at 4 p.m.
