Madison McDonald has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 4th, 2015. This is the third time this season that Madison has received the weekly honor.

The St. Augustine native tied her previous career-high 27 points in game one of the week before following it up with a career high 31 points in back to back contests. The senior guard also contributed seven rebounds, six assists, a block and two steals in the pair of wins against NAIA I St. Catharine.

The Lady Gyrenes return to conference action against St. Thomas at home on Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 6p.m.
