Brandon Dean has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending January  28, 2015. This is the first time this season that Brandon has received the weekly honor.

The senior guard averaged 15 points and five rebounds in two games this week for the Gyrenes. He finished with 13 points and three rebounds in AMU's loss to Johnson & Wales before following that up with a 17 point, seven board effort against Webber International on Saturday. On the week, he shot 55 percent from the field.

AMU returns to the court on Wednesday, Feb. 4, when they host Embry-Riddle at 7:30 p.m.
