Rhys Tosczak has been selected as the Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March. Tosczak was also selected as this week's Sun Conference Player of the Week for men's golf. Tosczak is the first Ave Maria golfer to ever earn the weekly Sun Conference award. 
 
Tosczak, a senior from Calgary, Alberta, finished sixth among 62 golfers at the Warner Golf Classic, leading the Gyrenes to a sixth-place finish. Tosczak opened with a round of 1-under-par 71 before finishing with scores of 73 and 77. 
  
AMU returns to action on Sunday at the Embry-Riddle Eagle Invitational to be played at LPGA International in Daytona Beach.
