Christian Dufresne has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 22, 2015. This is the first selection for Dufresne of his career. 

The freshman pitcher gave a stand out performance in the first of two Gyrene victories over Southeastern on Saturday. He tossed eight innings where he allowed two earned runs on five scattered hits and no walks, while fanning nine. 

Ave Maria will be back in action this when they travel to Rollins College on Thursday night before they head to Hardeeville, S.C. for a conference series with USC-Beaufort over the weekend.
