Cross Country’s Michaela Elmer has been named this week's Female Athlete of the Week. It's the second time this season that she has been named the Gyrenes Female Athlete of the Week. She was previously named Female Athlete of the Week on Sept. 7.
 
Running in her first collegiate 6k competition, Michaela Elmer finished in 21st place individually with a time of 24:43 at the Berry Cross Country Invitational. She led the Runnin' Gyrenes to a ninth place finish out of 15 teams.
 
The Runnin’ Gyrenes return to action on Saturday when they run in the USCB Sand Shark Invitational in Hardeeville, S.C.
