John Russo has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week ending November, 25, 2012. Russo, a sophomore guard out of Yorba Linda, Calif. recorded a double-double in the Gyrenes' win over DeVry University on Monday. Russo finished with 12 points, 10 assists, and four steals on the night. Later in the week, he contributed two points in AMU's win over Edward Waters College.

The Gyrenes return to the court, Wednesday, November 28th at Webber International University for the Sun Conference opener. Tip off is slated for 7p.m.
