Emily Huber has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending December 2, 2012. Huber, a senior guard out of Indianapolis, Ind., tallied 31 points in the Lady Gyrenes’ two games this week. Huber led the way for Ave Maria, first, versus in their win over Eckerd College, scoring 19 points on 5-15 shooting and 3-9 from beyond the arc. On Saturday, in their 67-63 loss to Flagler College, she finished with 12 points. Huber added seven assists and nine rebounds on the week additionally.
The Lady Gyrenes return to the court after the Christmas break when they host the Ave Maria Holiday Classic. Games begin on Friday, December 28th. The first tip is set for 2p.m.
