Kiel Lewis has been selected as Ave Maria's Co-Male Athlete of the Week ending December 9th, 2012. Lewis, a senior guard out of Orlando, Fla., tallied 44 points in the Gyrenes’ two wins at the Florida Christian College Christmas Classic. The senior first tallied 20 points in an matchup against Trinity College on Friday night. The Gyrenes then wrapped up the weekend with a win over host-team Florida Christian by a final score of 73-62. Lewis had a team-leading 24 points in the win, along with five steals and five assists.
The Gyrenes return to the court for the final time this semester on Saturday, December 15th. They will face Florida College at the Tom Golisano Fieldhouse with a tip-off that is slated for 1p.m.
