Amy Myler has been selected as Ave Maria’s Co-Female Athlete of the Week ending December 30, 2012. Myler, a senior forward out of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., tallied 33 points and 26 rebounds in the Lady Gyrenes’ three games this week. Myler first chipped in eight points and five rebounds in their 78-58 loss to Madonna University. On Saturday, in their victory over CU-Irvine, she notched her fourth double-double of the season-finishing with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Myler concluded the weekend with six points and seven rebounds in the Lady Gyrenes 73-62 loss to Daemen College.
The Lady Gyrenes continue play in the Ave Maria Holiday Classic today, December 31st, with a tip-off slated for 2p.m. against the Warhawks of Auburn University-Montgomery.
