Ave Maria

Amy Myler has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending January 6th, 2013. Myler, a senior forward out of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., tallied 52 points and 29 rebounds in the Lady Gyrenes’ three wins this week. Myler had 21 points and 12 rebounds in AMU's win over NAIA Division I No. 20 Auburn University-Montgomery that highlighted the Holiday Classic at AMU. The Lady Gyrenes then began conference play over the weekend. Myler tallied 18 points and nine rebounds in their 86-65 win over Webber International and returned to have a team-leading 13 points and 8 rebounds in their 58-35 route of Warner. Myler currently ranks #1 in the NAIA in offensive rebounds per game with 4.73.

The Lady Gyrenes return to the court this weekend when they travel to Johnson and Wales University. Tipoff is slated for 7p.m. on Friday, January 11^th.
