Amy Myler has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending January 20th, 2013. Myler, a senior forward out of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., averaged 12.5 points and 12 rebounds in two conference home games this week. She notched her sixth and seventh double-doubles of the season against #16 St. Thomas and Florida Memorial. Amy is currently #1 in the NAIA in offensive rebounds per game (4.63), #17 in field goal percentage (0.525), and #26 in total rebounds per game (8.68).
The Lady Gyrenes return to the court this weekend when they host the Fire of Southeastern University. Tipoff is slated for 2p.m. on Saturday, January 26th.
