Amy Myler has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending January 27th, 2013. Myler, a senior forward out of Indian Harbor Beach, Fla., had 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals in only 24 minutes played during the Lady Gyrenes lone game this week. Amy remains #1 in the NAIA in offensive rebounds per game (4.65) and #12 in field goal percentage (53.9%).
The Lady Gyrenes continue their home stand this weekend when they host Warner University on Friday at 7p.m. followed by a double-header with the men’s team versus Webber International on Saturday. Tipoff for the women’s game on Saturday is slated for 2p.m.
