Ave Maria

Gabe Loweree has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week ending February 17th, 2013. Loweree, a senior utility player out of El Paso, Texas hit 8-for-14 on the week (.571) while recording four doubles and four RBI. In AMU's 4-3 loss to PBA, Loweree went 3-for-4 with two doubles. Loweree again went 3-for-4 on Friday with two runs and two RBI. Gabe finished the week on Saturday going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in AMU's 8-0 victory over Clearwater Christian.

The Gyrenes have a quick turnaround and return to the field today when they travel to Eckerd College for a non-conference matchup. The first pitch is slated for 7p.m.
