Luis Gonzalez has been named the Ave Maria University male athlete of the week!

Luis scored his first two goals of the season against Johnson and Wales last week. The Gyrenes pulled away from Johnson and Wales in the second half, with Gonzalez leading the way. He had three shots on the day, all of them being on goal. The win was the first conference victory of the season for the Men's soccer team.

Next up for the Gyrenes is Embry-Riddle on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in Ave Maria.
