Mary Kate Lee has been selected as Ave Maria's Female Athlete of the Week ending March 17th, 2013. Lee and teammate, Heather Esker, picked up another huge win this past week, with a 9-7 victory over SCAD's #1 doubles team. SCAD's team of Schmaus and Plavsic is currently ranked #1 in the ITA doubles rankings. Earlier this season the duo also knocked off No. 4 ranked Embry-Riddle's #1 women's doubles team. The women's tennis team upended conference-foe Warner University on Friday, 7-2. Lee and Esker led the way by knocking off the #1 doubles, 8-5.
