Ave Maria

Alex Sanchez has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week ending March 24th, 2013. Sanchez, a senior infielder out of Hialeah, Fla. led the Gyrenes offensively on the week, batting 9-for-18 (.500). Sanchez also chipped in with four RBI,  four runs scored, one double, and one triple on the week. Eight of his nine hits came against St. Thomas in their weekend series.

The Gyrenes have a quick turnaround and return to the field today when they host Clearwater Christian College for a non-conference matchup. The first pitch is slated for 3p.m.
