Jessica Fornos has been selected as Ave Maria's Female Athlete of the Week ending March 24th, 2013. Fornos, a junior utility player out of Tampa, Fla. led the Lady Gyrenes offensively on the week batting .500 (5-10) over the opening slate of conference play. Fornos also added two runs scored and two stolen bases on the weekend.

The Lady Gyrenes travel to Lake Wales this week for a non-conference matchup on Thursday, March 28th against Taylor University. The first pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 12p.m.
