Aaron Pigna has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week ending April 14th, 2013. Pigna, a sophomore infielder out of Miami, Fla. helped lead the Gyrenes to three wins this week and a series-victory over USC-Beaufort. Pigna finished the week batting .500, going 7-for-14, with five runs scored and two doubles. He also recorded three RBI and three stolen bases on the week.

The Gyrenes return to the field on the road, Wednesday, at Florida Memorial for a mid-week matchup. The first pitch is slated for 4p.m.
