Ethan Striz has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week ending April 28th, 2013. Striz, a junior RHP out of Lakeland, Fla. led the Gyrenes to an important win after a 74 hour break in the fifth inning against Northwood this week. He gave up zero earned runs on nine hits and struck out four in a complete game 5-1 victory.

The Gyrenes return to the field on the road, Tuesday, at the Sun Conference Tournament in Fort Myers, Fla. Their first round game against Southeastern is set to begin at 3p.m.
