Hayley Wonka has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending September 8th, 2013. Wonka, a senior OH/DS out of Vero Beach, Fla. tallied 16 kills, 27 digs, and four service aces in the Lady Gyrenes 3-2 win over Talladega College on Tuesday to improve AMU to 2-1 on the young season.
The Lady Gyrenes are back in action when they take to the court on Friday, September 13th versus conference-foe Northwood University. The match is set to begin at 7p.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla.
