Ave Maria

Scott Jones has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week ending October 6th, 2013. Jones, a St. Augustine, Fla. native had a career day on Saturday in the Gyrenes 48-34 win over Concordia (Ala.). The 5-foot-10 junior runningback rushed for four touchdowns including the go ahead touchdown with a minute and a half remaining in the game to secure the win.

The Gyrenes return to the field when they host Florida Institute of Technology on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1p.m. at Gyrene Field.
