Alex Wardrope has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending October 6th, 2013. Wardrope, a junior midfielder out of Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada scored a goal and assisted on two others in the Lady Gyrenes 10-0 victory over Johnson University this week. Saturday's game brings her season total to three goals and five assists. AMU improves to 4-5-1 on the season.

The Lady Gyrenes are back in action when they travel to Florida Memorial University on Thursday.The game is set to begin at 4p.m. in Miami Gardens, Fla.
