Gage Hayes has been selected as Ave Maria’s Co-Male Athlete of the Week ending October 27th, 2013. Hayes, a Lakeland, Fla. native led the Gyrene defense in the AMU 28-13 route of Webber International. The 6-0 senior linebacker had four tackles, two interceptions, and a 30-yard kick return on Saturday.

With the win, the Gyrenes improve to 5-2 on the season. They return to the field on Saturday for their final home game of the season when they host Edward Waters College. Kickoff is slated for 1p.m. at Gyrene Field.
