Cassie Kreiger has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week ending November 3rd, 2013. Kreiger, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., averaged 17 points, six rebounds, four assists, and four steals per game leading AMU to a 2-1 record in the opening weekend of the season. The senior guard had a career night versus the University of St. Francis (Ill.), where she finished with a career-high 27 points and was a perfect 10-10 from the charity stripe.
The Lady Gyrenes return to the court on Thursday when they host William Carey University (Miss.) Tipoff is slated for 6p.m. at the Golisano Fieldhouse.
