Christianne Ludwick has been selected as Ave Maria's Female Athlete of the Week ending October 14, 2012. Ludwick, an Indianapolis, Ill. native, led Ave Maria's scoring attack. The senior outside hitter had a team-high 12 kills and eight digs as the Lady Gyrenes were victorious over the Lady Seahawks of Northwood University on Friday night. The match went four sets with Ave Maria coming out on top 3-1 (17-25, 20-25, 25-23, & 21-25).
The Lady Gyrenes look forward to three matches this week: the first one, this Wednesday, when State College of Florida travels to Ave Maria for a 7 p.m. matchup.
