Ave Maria

Tamica Mora has been selected as Ave Maria’s Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 24th, 2013. Mora, a native of Clermont, Fla., led the Lady Gyrenes to a 1-0 week with a 95-50 route of Clearwater Christian College. The senior guard had 17 points and three assists in just 16 minutes of play. She shot an impressive 71.4% (5-7) from the field and was a perfect 3-3 from the charity stripe.

The women's basketball team improves to 6-3 on the season. The Lady Gyrenes return to the court on Monday when they host Florida College in double-header action with the men's team. Tipoff is slated for 5 and 7p.m. at the Tom Golisano Fieldhouse.
