Matt Chattin has been selected as Ave Maria’s Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending November 24th, 2013. Chattin, a Groveland, Fla. native, tallied 30 points, five rebounds, three assists, and three steals over two games for the Blue and Green this week. The senior guard also notched the 1000th point of his career in the 61-60 AMU win over Edward Waters on Thursday. He is the third men's basketball player in the six year history of the program to hit the prestigious mark.
The Gyrenes return to the court on Monday when they host Florida College in double-header action with the women's squad. Tipoff is slated for 5 and 7p.m. at the Tom Golisano Fieldhouse.
