Ralph Erickson has been selected as Ave Maria's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 1st, 2013. The freshman guard out of Melrose, N.Y. averaged 20.5 points, five rebounds, and four and a half assists over two games as the Gyrenes went 1-1 on the week.

The men's basketball team returns to the court when they open Sun Conference play on Thursday against Johnson and Wales in double-header action with the women's squad. Tip off is slated for 5:30 and 7:30p.m. at the Tom Golisano Field House.
