Lady Gyrenes Hit The Road For Pair Of TSC Matches

AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria volleyball team will travel to Webber International and Warner this week to conclude their seven-match road trip. The two matches this week come before a 13-day hiatus for the Lady Gyrenes.

Ave Maria will travel to Babson Park to take on Webber on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest. The Lady Gyrenes and Warner will face off in Lake Wales on Friday at 7 p.m.

The Blue and Green hope to put an end to a six-game slide that dates back to Sept. 30.  This past weekend, the Lady Gyrenes went 0-4 at the Clearwater Christian College Invitational.

Hannah Wurster and Lexy Smith lead the Blue and Green with 155 and 145 kills, respectively.  Lexy Smith also leads the Lady Gyrenes with 22 solo blocks and 33 assist blocks.

The Lady Gyrenes current slide began with a three set loss to against Warner at Tom Golisano Field House. Wurster and Lexy Smith tied for the team-high in kills with nine apiece. Ashley St. Hubin led the Blue and Green with three total blocks.
