AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's basketball team hosts Trinity College (Fla.) tonight in their lone game of the week. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
The Gyrenes rebounded from a tough loss at Trinity Baptist by defeating Florida College at Tom Golisano Field House last Saturday. The win improved the Blue and Green to 4-1 on the season.
In the previous meeting this season between Ave Maria and Trinity College, the Gyrenes bested the Tigers 57-52. AMU overcame a tough shooting night (34 percent) to rally past the Tigers in the closing minutes. Ave Maria closed the game on a 10-0 run over the last three minutes to secure the win.
Jelani Bonner (8 pts., 10 reb.), Wendell Powell (10 pts., 6 reb.), and Brandon Pasker (10 pts., 7 reb.) all had solid nights for the Gyrenes against the Tigers.

Jerome Harris added 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Tigers. Trinitiy attempted 26 threes, and made 11 of them, compared to just eight attempts from behind the arc for the Gyrenes.
