Week 4 Volleyball Game Notes
AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Lady Gyrene volleyball team begins a busy week on Tuesday night when they host Southeastern University in a Sun Conference matchup. AMU then takes on Florida College at home on Thursday before wrapping up the week with a home contest on Saturday against Embry-Riddle.
SCOUTING AVE MARIA: AMU dropped a pair of conference matches last week, falling to Northwood in four sets on Wednesday and to Webber in three on Saturday. Lexy Smith led the Gyrenes against Northwood with 3 kills and two blocks while Lexie Andric and Hannah Wurster led the Blue and Green in kills against Webber with seven apiece.

Live Video SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN: Southeastern comes into this week's matchup with a 7-4 overall record and a 1-1 mark in TSC play. Last week, the Lady Fire defeated Florida Memorial 3-0 on Friday before falling to St. Thomas in straight sets on Saturday. Southeastern are led by Carol Reis who leads the team in kills with 98 and ranked first in the NAIA in hitting percentage, hitting at a .466 clip. Katie Trenski leads SEU in both aces (13) and digs (99).

Live Video SCOUTING FLORIDA COLLEGE: Florida College comes to Tom Golisano Field House with an 8-3 overall record. This is the second meeting between these two teams this season with the Falcons coming out on the winning side of a four set match in the first meeting. Malea Kalina led the Falcons in the first meeting with 21 kills and 18 digs that were both team highs. Camille Crim and Savannah Gorman also recorded double-digit kills with 14 and 10, respectively.

Live Video SCOUTING EMBRY-RIDDLE: The Embry-Riddle Lady Eagles come into the week with a 3-6 overall record and a 1-1 record in conference action. The Lady Eagles began the season ranked 21st in the preseason poll but have fallen victim to arguably the toughest opening stretch of games in the NAIA having faced three top ten teams and six total top 25 teams. Tamires Ferreira leads the Lady Eagles in aces with 25 and assists with 367. She ranks eighth in the NAIA in total service aces and 19th in assists per game. Hannah Gray ranks fourth in the NAIA with 6.450 digs per game (213 total). ERAU faces Flagler and Northwood prior to taking on the Lady Gyrenes this week.
