AVE MARIA, Fla. --- The Ave Maria volleyball team looks to continue their winning ways when they host the Warner University Royals on Tuesday night. The Blue and Green then travel to Northwood to take on the Lady Seahawks on Wednesday night. Both matches are set to begin at 7 p.m.
SCOUTING AVE MARIA: After a loss to conference leading St. Thomas early in the week, the AMU volleyball team closed the week on a two-game winning streak having swept both Trinity College (Fla.) at home and Florida Memorial University on the road. The match against FMU gave the Lady Gyrenes their first conference win of the 2014 season. Lexy Smith led the Gyrenes, posting double-digit kills in all three matches. She also had three solo blocks and assisted on 11 blocks on the week.

Live Video SCOUTING WARNER: Warner comes into this week's matchup with a 4-8 overall record and a 3-2 record in TSC play. The Royals got off to a rocky start to the season but played well lately, having won two of their past three games. The Lady Royals defeated Southeastern in straight sets early last week before falling to Embry-Riddle in three later in the week. Marisa Moralobo leads Warner with 103 kills on the season. Rachel Stanton has recorded a team-best 309 assists in 34 sets played for the Lady Royals.

Live Video SCOUTING NORTHWOOD: After a 6-0 start to the season, the Lady Seahawks have since gone 3-9 and have currently lost five of their last six games. Last week, Northwood defeated Florida Memorial in four-sets before getting swept by St. Thomas. Sophomore Nikki McKown leads the Lady Seahawks with 159 kills on the season. Sydney Fish has also surpassed the century mark in kills this season with 125. McKown has also recorded 143 digs while Ti'Ana Fox leads Northwood with 246 digs.
