The Gyrenes will enter action this week looking for their first victory of the 2014 season. AMU last played on August 21, when they were defeated by Concordia College (Ala.). Look for stellar defense to help lead the Gyrenes. Anchored by Thomas Bello, Carl Bishop and goalkeeper Andres Martin, the Gyrenes defense will look to keep the Sharks off the board to give their young offense time to settle in. Martin started all 17 games in goal last season for the Gyrenes and led the TSC in saves. Bishop, a senior midfielder played in 17 games last season, starting in 16. Bello, a sophomore, started 14 games last season as a freshman for the Blue and Green.

The Sharks will come into battle against AMU on Wednesday, fresh off of a 3-1 victory over the University of North Georgia. The strength of NSU lies within its defense. In its two matches this season, NSU has yet to surrender a goal, and were successful in keeping the eleventh ranked team nationally, Young Harris off the scoreboard for 110 minutes as the two teams played to a scoreless tie. Look for junior Stefano Fanfoni to spark the NSU offense, Fanfoni is tied for the team lead in goals and assists this season and led the Sharks in points last season as a sophomore
