Men’s Soccer Falls At Warner, 2-1

Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's soccer team fell, 2-1, at Warner on Saturday afternoon. Trailing 2-0 at the half, Fabrizio Bucco netted the lone goal for AMU early in the second half.
 
AMU and Warner played over 41 minutes of scoreless soccer in the first half before a goal by Mauricio Delgado put the Royals in front 1-0 in the 42nd minute. Two minutes later, Brian Martin found the back of the net for Warner to extend the lead to 2-0.
 
In the second half, Bucco cut the Warner lead in half, 2-1, with a goal in the 50th minutes. The Gyrenes were unable to net the equalizer in the final 40 minutes.
 
AMU had 12 shots, six of which came on net. Warner had 17 shots and put nine on frame.
 
Andrea Salomone took the loss for AMU. He made six saves and allowed two goals in 45 minutes of work. Michael O'Donnell made one save in the final 45 minutes.
 
The Gyrenes return to action for their final two games of the season this week. They travel to Southeastern on Wednesday night before taking on Palm Beach Atlantic in West Palm Beach on Friday night.
