ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. --- The Ave Maria men's basketball team fell at Flagler on Tuesday night, 90-55, in their final tune-up before opening conference play on Thursday against Keiser.

The Gyrenes, who led by as many as four early in the first half, continued to lead Flagler by one, 11-10 at the 13:41 mark in the opening half after a tip-in by Julian Adams. Leading AMU by two, Flagler broke the game open after a 12-2 run put the Saints up 27-15. A seven-point spurt by Flagler increased the Saints' lead to 17, 42-25, at the half.

Ave Maria was able to keep the deficit manageable in the early part of the second half, but a 13-3 run by the Saints extended their lead over AMU to 25, 65-40 midway through the half. Flagler shot 54.5 percent in the second half to close out the game 90-55.

AMU shot 34.8 percent on the night, making 4-of-20 from behind the arc. Flagler finished the game at a 50.7 percent clip shooting and 11-of-27 from three. Ave was outrebounded 50-32.

Martez Harris led the Blue and Green with 19 points on 7-of-16 shooting. Julian Adams nearly tallied a double-double with 11 points and eight rebounds. Nate Krimsky recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, three rebounds, and three blocks. Exor Torres finished with seven assists and six rebounds.

Ave Maria returns to action on Thursday night when they welcome Keiser to Tom Golisano Field House for a 7 p.m. tilt. The game is the conference opener for both squads.
