GAME RECAPAve Maria, FL.—The Ave Maria baseball team lost their third game of opening weekend today to Edward Waters College by a final score of 16-7.
Stephen Grove (Naples, Fla.) was charged with the loss for the Gyrenes while Richard Neader (Bryceville, Fla.) earned the win for the Tigers, completing the series sweep.
The Edward Waters offensive attack was led by Jesse Baker (Sebring, Fla.) who slugged a home run and a double while tallying three RBI. Dustyn Rivero and Jordan Pontious also added three RBI a piece on the day as the Tigers bats came alive for sixteen total runs and twenty hits over the nine innings of play.

Rico Soto (Naples, Fla.) was the day's offensive leader recording three RBI with a double and a big three run home run. Fellow freshman
Andres Hernandez (Miami, Fla.) stroked a home run of his own, while seniors
Tucker Starkey (Mayville, Ky.) and
Nick Sacchetta (Naples, Fla.) added an RBI a piece for the Gyrenes.
Ave Maria University baseball, now 0-3 on the young season will return to action at Bowie's Ballpark on Friday when they take on Clearwater Christian College with first pitch scheduled for 2:30p.m.Â
